the hands of two people going over a passage in the bible

Could you explain the gospel? Want a cheat code?

Are you are concerned that maybe you don’t know the bible well enough to teach someone about salvation?  Well, can you just remember John 3:16?  Start there in your bible.  Underline each passage and then write in the reference to the next one so you can flip to it. Then underline that one etc. If you are using a digital bible on your phone, write it in the notes.

Start by flipping to the most remembered verse everywhere- John 3:16.  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Romans 5:8. but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 3:4. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. Romans 3:10. as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; Romans 3:23.  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 6:23.  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Galatians 2:16.  yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. James 2:10.  For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. Ephesians 2:8. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  Hebrews 11:6. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Acts 16:31. And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”  Acts 17:30. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,  2 Peter 3:9. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.  Romans 10:9-10. because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  Matthew 10:32.  So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, Matthew 28:19-20. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Acts 2:38. And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 6:4-5. We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.  For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.  Galatians 3:26-27.  for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  Acts 22:16. And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’ Romans 5:1. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
