The Gift Of Hope

This post is from Lincoln Christian Church‘s 2011 Prayer Calendar and was written by Pat Snyder, the founder of Harvest of Talents.

We grumble when told to drink 8 glasses of water a day to keep our bodies hydrated. “I can’t drink that much!” Sure you can — how blessed you are to be able.

Next time you drink a cold glass of water, thank God for this blessing. In the parched lands of our earth, feeling the pangs of drought, countless numbers are victims of starvation.

Starvation in painful and ugly. You are their hope! God has gifted you with talents and skills to share with the Harvest.

Your handcrafted treasures translate info funds for IDES to dig wells and provide life-giving water. They offer nourishing bags of maize, rice, and beans. What you fail to do could mean the difference between life and death! Pray for God’s direction as you consider your part in the Harvest of Talents for World Hunger.

You hold the key to someone’s future — the gifts of your hands can make a difference!
