Context is King

All my life I have known people who will take the bible out of context to suit their own agenda.  None more so than now.  From the oft used “Judge not, lest ye be judged” ripped from it’s surrounding text to make it say what it does not, to whatever goal the person is desiring to push.  I made the following, completely of sections of scripture, to demonstrate just how awful this can be used to go against the plain scripture of God.  NASB was used, verses I ripped these words from are cited.

“I want you to give me at once1 all that was in my heart2 without regard to3 the righteousness of God.4  We do not need to5 fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment.6  He will accept me7 however I will tell you.8

So the church throughout all9 the earth should change and10 now accept the one who is11 joyously living in12 what you have whispered in the inner rooms.13  You thought that14 this was before the Lord15 such a wicked thing among you.16  You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God.17 Our Law does not judge a man.18  Every man did what was right in his own eyes19 and God saw that it was good.20″
