August’s Craft Day

Preparing for Harvest of Talents is a year-long affair. Since the big event is over in October, the preparation for October begins in November. All winter, spring and summer long, we work on projects.

The craft days (held on the third Saturday of every month) are a way of getting people together to work on a project that will be saved and sold in the next Harvest of Talents for World Hunger festival (2014). Anyone is welcome.

This year, we are planning activities each month and providing supplies so that people can work together on projects and don’t have to lug all of their own supplies to the church or dream up their own activities. We will also have a pitch-in lunch each time.

August’s activity involved painting gourds as Christmas ornaments.

Check out our craft day photo album to see pictures of these and other craft day creations.
